Milk chocolate and cherry aromas on the nose alongside dark fruits. This is smooth and supple with a generous palate of cherries, strawberries and some blackberries. I like the balance here - a good combination of dense red fruit flavors with tannins that first support the fruit then take over the mid palate a little too much. Juicy and mouthwatering to begin then the tannins grip and take hold showing this is a serious wine. Some pleasant hints of oak spice from the aging come in on the finish so you can drink this now or there is potential to keep and hold on to for further ageing. Decant or let breathe for at least an hour before serving. A blend of 62% Merlot, 12% Syrah, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Tannat and 5% Malbec,.
