Appealing and characterful on the nose, there's a candied lemon peel note under the gooseberry and pineapple. In the mouth it's got lots more ripeness than I expected, the palate is fairly rich and tropical, but the finish is zesty and dry, with notes of freshly sliced green apple. It's a flavoursome wine, not for the faint hearted, but there's lots to like.
