Orovela, Saperavi, Kakheti, Georgia 2015

Rich and dark-fruited, with aromas of spiced plums and dried herbs sprinkled onto blackberries, this full-bodied red is made from the Saperavi variety, native to Georgia. A few years of bottle age have lent some earthy characters to the wine, and the structured tannins are well integrated. Toasty, spicy notes from 12 months in French and American oak pervade through the finish.
