Spätburgunger is the German name for Pinot Noir, and lovers of the variety will find a great-value drop here, from a winemaker who is a real Pinot craftsman. This entry-level cuvée is beautifully ripe – reminiscent of a Black Forest Gâteau with its dark cherry, vanilla and chocolatey smoothness, given lightness and brightness from racy acidity and floral tones.
