Lidl, Brauneberger Kurfurstlay Riesling, Mosel, 2018

It's almost embarrassing to recommend a Mosel Riesling at £4.99, but this is a perfectly respectable everyday drinking white, in what is usually a pretty pricey category. Officially medium-sweet, there's around 20g of residual sugar here, but the good level of acidity makes it taste drier. Juicy and clean, this doesn't have great length but offers an easy-drinking mélange of peachy, grapey, leafy flavour.
