Majestic, Definition Riesling Kabinett, Mosel, Germany 2023

This new addition to Majestic's Definition range is a classic (which is the whole point of the own-label range). From the steep, slate-soil vineyards of Germany's Mosel region, this Kabinett Riesling is made by one of the country's most famous winemakers, Ernst Loosen. Softly aromatic, the wine has 37g/L and strikes a perfect balance between zippy acidity and a hint of sweetness. Peach, orchard fruit and lime citrus fruits, modest alcohol and the fresh acidity would make this a great match for some spicy Asian dishes. Mix-six price: £11.99.
