Yum, yum, yum! Don't let memories of the anodyne and sugary German Rieslings of yesteryear put you off this delicious dry wine from one of the Rheingau's leading estates. There is a touch (8.7g/L) of residual sugar, but the racy acidity means that it doesn't taste sweet at all. Only 11% alcohol, and with fantastic ageing potential if you wanted to buy an extra bottle or two to lay down, this is a perfect wine for sipping on a summer's evening, overtly floral, and with a purity of lemon citrus and peach fruit. Elegant, poised and dangerously drinkable.
