This new listing is bang on trend, as both orange wine and Greek wine are enjoying a boom in popularity. A 50-50 blend of Assyrtiko and Vidiano from Crete, it's a gentle introduction to the category. Pale amber in colour and dry, with notes of bitter orange, mandarin and crystallised ginger, and some soft peachy fruit, there's gentle appeal here but it's all a little bit subdued and could do with some racier acidity. Still, if you've never tried orange wine, this could be a good one to start with, accompanied by some mezze dishes. Mix-six price: £11.99.
