Royal Tokaji, Mézes Mály Dry Szamorodni, Tokaj, Hungary 2016

This dry Szamorodni Furmint from the Mézes Mály single vineyard spent 5 years and a half under flor in Zemplén (Hungarian) oak barrels. It was only bottled last year. A sherry-like nose of fresh dough, green apple and crushed almond. Bright green fruits on the palate with great freshness and layered depth. More hazel nuts and bitter lime zest lead to a salivating finish.
