Royal Tokaji, The Oddity Dry Tokaji, Tokaj, Hungary, 2014

Best known for its beautiful sweet wines, the region of Tokaji is also producing some excellent dry styles based on the same grape variety, Furmint. Waxy stone fruits with honey and lanolin aromas suggest richness, however this is totally dry and surprisingly crisp. Flavours of juicy mandarin and apricots with a herbal tinge extend into a fresh, minerally finish.
