Pasqua, Bardolino Chiaretto Rosé, Bardolino, Veneto, Italy 2019

Rosé sales have shot up at Majestic during lockdown, and the retailer has introduced many new rosé listings. This Bardolino Chiaretto is a blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara (the traditional grapes of Valpolicella) made in the Lake Garda region, and is one of three Majestic rosés made by Pasqua. Juicy, with strawberry fruit flavours, it's fairly commercial and probably not restrained enough for those who prefer a Provençal style.
