Based in southern Basilicata, Alovini is owned and run by winemaker Oronzo Alò, with mount Vulture’s seven peaks peering over the Aglianico vines in this picturesque vineyard. Alò’s accumulated knowhow working with local varieties unites with a knack for expressing his fruit to the maximum. My top choice for a barbecue.
