Mutiliana, Acereta Modigliana, Sangiovese di Romagna, 2018

Gambero Rosso wine journalist, Giorgio Melandri, founded Multiliana as a project to express the unique terroirs of Modigliana's three valleys. Acereta (named after the valley of the same name) is from marl and sandstone and features a subtle cherry nose with a bright, acidic palate full of zingy red berries. A stony backbone and some herbal lift give this a sense of place.
