The white Albana grape is planted almost exclusively in Italy's Emilia-Romagna region, here grown organically (though not certified), from old vines. The grapes were picked late, but before they became botrytised - this is a dry, full-bodied and well-balanced wine, with 6.5g/L residual sugar, ripe and honeyed in style with peach and apricot flavours. There's a creamy, almost rice pudding feel to it, despite the fact that there's no oak or lees influence.
