Tesco, Citra Vini, Finest, Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, 2015

Made for Tesco by Citra Vini, a co-operative in the Abruzzo region. This has a lovely purple colour to it, with ripe plum and blackberry aromas. In the mouth the black fruit is joined by some darker chocolate notes and a hint of spice. This is smooth and drinkable, great value for drinking now. Try pairing it with a Bolognese or roast beef.
