Adnams, Roero Arneis, Piedmont, Italy, 2019

From the hilly Roero region in Piedmont, the Arneis grape gives the wine a welcoming nose of ripe peach, apricot and white blossom. Rich and oily on the palate, starts with citrus and green apple, leading to layers of ripe melon and apricot, refreshed with lime peel and mineral acidity from the fossil-rich soils. Lovely long finish of acacia honey and stone fruit - an absolute delight.
