Broglia, Gavi di Gavi, Piedmont 2021

Even if the nose promises more than the palate delivers, there's a lot to like in this Gavi di Gavi. Expressive aromas of yellow apple, pear and preserved lemon result in symmetric, albeit slightly subdued, flavours. But there's a lovely, and very gastronomic, textural appeal, a result of accomplished lees work. Medium finish with an elegant mineral and spicy lining.
