Piedmont fans have an enviable choice at Booths with Ascheri's 2021 Langhe Nebbiolo (£16.50) and this impressive Barolo. With time in the glass to disperse some of the volatile acidity, it opens to reveal of charms: lifted florals, red cherries, liquorice, tarry tannins and warm leather oak spice.
