It's hard to resist the opulence of Asti spumante, with its intense peach and pineapple flavours, creamy backbone, gentle sparkle and unctuous sweetness. It has naturally low alcohol because the fermentation is halted before the yeasts can devour all the sugar, meaning it's just 7% abv but also has 95g/l of residual sugar. Works well as an aperitif or even at the end of a meal.
