Sainsbury's has had several good vintages of this Barbaresco, and this one, now with four years of bottle age to add to the 12 months in French and US oak barrels, is drinking very well – perfect for a mushroom pie or risotto. Supple yet grippy tannins, fresh acidity and a complex touch of balsamic to the dark sour cherry fruit.
