With black tea and forest floor notes hinting at development, the 2018 Barolo showcases a bouquet of fresh red cherry and dried cranberry, plus a gentle touch of caramel and tar. Aged for two years in large Slavonia and French casks, the well-integrated but firm tannins caress an elegant palate of red berry fruits, dried flowers and earthy root spices. A solid wine that needs food to enjoy now but still has years ahead of it.
