Lovely Barolo typicity here – translucent in the glass, with a delicious chewiness and savoury, leathery, perfumed red fruit aromas. This has grip, a good weight of red fruits, robust tannins and the trademark high acidity of the Nebbiolo grape. The wine was oak aged for a minimum 3.5 years before release, and is drinking beautifully. May be a good idea to let it breathe for 45 minutes before serving. Mushroom risotto would be a delicious match.
