Cantele, Verdeca, Puglia, Italy 2022

The Verdeca grape is native to the Puglia region of Italy. This stainless steel-vinified example is full of lemon peel and lemon leaf scents, pithy and ever so slightly creamy, with a touch of ripe nectarine. There's some creaminess in the mouth too, with beautifully refreshing acidity which cleanses and makes way for apple, pear, lemon peel and white peach flavours, with some sage emerging on the finish. Very versatile.
