Made using partially dried Primitivo grapes (a process known as appassimento), this soft and fleshy red from Italy's hot south is all about ripe and jammy sweet black cherry fruit. There are also cocoa and spice notes, complementing the generous fruit to give an easy-drinking wine that would make perfect everyday drinking, without food or with a pizza in front of the TV.
