Not all Pinot Grigio is born equal, so it's a nice surprise to see this own-label Asda Extra Special Pinot Grigio from Trentino in northern Italy – where some of the country's finest examples of the grape are made. Pear, melon and some peppery notes combine with a textural mouthfeel and a steely finish with a hint of herbiness. Fresh and easy drinking, it's a versatile food wine that's equally at home with fish, salads and white meats.
