Fattoria Le Pupille, Riserva, Morellino di Scansano, 2020

The Riserva Morellino di Scansano is a 90% Sangiovese and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon blend aged for 15 months in 20-40hl Slavonian oak barrels. It's a classy wine, especially given the price, providing a depth of juicy, sapid red fruits alongside a complexity of sous bois, wood and spice. There's good freshness and enough structure to age it for a few years. Great with roast meats.
