Cabernet Sauvignon from the Casalbosco estate in Pistoia is matured in barriques for 14 months. The result is a wine with scents of blackcurrant and blackcurrant leaf and overtones of coffee, violets and strawberry jam. In the mouth it has fine tannins and a ripe attack of strawberry, black cherry and blackberry. The mid-palate has a slight herbaceous quality, leading to a finish with a fine line of acidity and a flourish of barrel flavours.
