The Elcione vineyard, planted to Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese, sits at 350 metres altitude on fossil-rich clay soils. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and then matured in old French oak for six months, resulting in a fruit-forward, rustic palate of baked berries, a saline hint and firm tannins.
