Casa Canevel, Prosecco Extra Dry, Prosecco, Veneto, NV

My neighbour spying the bottle on the garden table asked if I was drinking Comtes de Champagne and he can be forgiven his mistake given the similarity in bottle shape between this and the famous Taittinger Blanc de Blancs. The Casa Canevel holds its own though; it’s bright and refreshing with peach flecked fruit, a sherbet acidity and delicate mousse. A perfect summer sipper.
