Valpolicella is a good summer red, a lighter style than some other Italian reds, and is a good fit for the new Chosen by Majestic range of value everyday drinking wines. Easy to enjoy, this one has been oak-aged for a year, which adds subtle spice to the simple cherryish fruits. Perhaps chill it very lightly before enjoying with pizza, pasta, roast chicken or charcuterie. (Mix-six price: £9.99)
