Located in the hamlet of Guia, Foss Marai was founded in 1986 by Carlo Biasiotto and his wife Adriana Moretti. Their passion for the region and focus on quality combined with a respect for nature has been passed down to son Umberto, now CEO. Today, Foss Marai produces more than 2m bottles (Prosecco DOC and Prosecco Superiore DOCG). From the prestigious, hilly 108ha Cartizze vineyard area, this is a 100% Glera wine that’s balanced and softened by 26-28g/L of residual sugar. Michelle Cherutti-Kowal MW:Tangy and fresh with citrus notes. Concentrated but lean, bubbles adding dimension, with a persistent chalky finish. Andy Howard MW: Broom and a hint of herb. Persistent and mouthfilling with plenty of acidity to balance the sweetness on the mineral, fresh finish. Susan Hulme MW: Lightly aromatic flower aromas, big mousse, creamy style, fruity. Good balance overall with a slight chalkiness to the finish
