A great introduction to the ripasso style, this is not a sweet wine but the winemaking method gives a depth of generously fleshy, rich and ripe fruit. It's exuberant, with spicy red cherries on both nose and palate – immediate drinking pleasure here, even if there could be more complexity and length. Good value.
