Morrisons, The Best Amarone, Veneto, Italy 2017

A powerful Amarone with ripe red berry perfume on the nose with a touch of wild game to show development. The grapes are dried for three months before the resulting wine is aged in large oak barrels for 24 months. Concentrated red and dark berries on the palate, with sweet spices and velvety tannins. Sweet but balanced with 10g/l of sugar and 5.6g/l of acidity. 14.5% alcohol gives the wine a warm sensation. Dried herbs and prune linger on a long finish. Made by Cantina di Soave for Morrisons.
