The Society's, Exhibition Soave, Soave, Veneto, Italy, 2021

Made by the renowned Pieropan estate, this own-label organic Soave is majority Garganega (from a vineyard just above the famous Calvarino plot) with a little Trebbiano blended in. It's an excellent example of the style, medium bodied and full of character, with a lovely bite of green apple fruit and some nutty, more savoury notes. Voted a Wine Champion by the buying team, and justly so.
