Lumière, Sparkling Koshu, Yamanashi, Japan, 2015

This traditional method sparkling Koshu, made in Lumiere's modern winery, is a rich and creamy fizz with aromas of vanilla, mango, lychee and banana. Weiss beer-like in the mouth, it has some soft, bananary esters with a slightly minerally, saline finish and a woody frame. A bit hollow on the mid-palate.
