Fautor, Illustro Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot, Valu Lui Traian, Moldova 2015

Aged for 12 months in oak, the Cabernet-Merlot blend has a pronounced nose of smoked plum, dark cherry with woody notes of cigar box and dried tea leaves. Some dried fruit characters suggests development. Robust but ripe tannins support a warm, concentrated core of ripe dark fruits. Herbal notes of cedar and blackcurrant leaf plus a decent level of freshness provide balance, followed by a warm, white pepper-like finish.
