Clos Marguerite, Sauvignon Blanc, Awatere, Marlborough, 2015

After 20 years of viticulture and winemaking experience, Jean-Charles Hove and his wife Marguerite set up this 10-hectare property. This is an oaked aged version but it is so subtle, it’s hard to tell. It’s a crisp and dry style with notes of nectarines and pineapple. The palate has a creamy texture and plenty of ripe fruit characters but all in harmony and with plenty of finesse.
