The plantings of Pinot Gris compared to Sauvignon Blanc in New Zealand are minuscule, but the results can be impressive. Bottled under screwcap to preserve freshness, this is an attractive and juicy white, ever so slightly off-dry, with notes of ripe pear fruit, a good acid bite and attractive fullness of flavour. Balanced, with an almost saline lick on the finish.
