Majestic, Devil's Creek 'Barrel Select' Sauvignon Blanc, New Zealand 2019

Made by Foley Family Wines, this is classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, but with added richness and weight from the fermentation in French oak. The fruit comes from the Waihopai Valley and it's quite an exotic, tropical style with grapefruit citrus notes, as opposed to the greener, more herbaceous, pyrazine style of some Marlborough Sauvignons. Worth a try if you've only tasted unoaked Marlborough Sauvignon up to now.
