We're in classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc territory here. A pioneer in Marlborough winemaking, established in 1978, Saint Clair is an old hand at producing a wide range of crowd-pleasing wines. In this one you'll find the typical green pepper, herbaceous and gooseberry notes that you'd expect, plus a tropical vibe from the Wairau fruit, with a guava and pineapple juiciness in the mouth, and a zing of yellow grapefruit on the finish. A commercial style that will find favour with the many UK wine drinkers who love this intense style of Sauvignon Blanc.
