Waimea, Trev's Red, Nelson, New Zealand, 2015

The grapes for this wine were picked on the same day and co-fermented, before being matured for ten months in a mix of new and seasoned oak barrels. It has a savoury leather and red fruit character, with some spice on the nose. The palate is smooth, with notes of dark chocolate and vinyl, and a black fruit, cinnamon and herb finish. An elegant wine.
