The fruit for this Pinot was sourced from the Cleland Vineyard in Martinborough. It was fermented with indigenous yeasts in open-top wooden vessels, before spending 18 months in French oak barriques, 40% new. It has a rich blackberry and red fruit character, with a distinct strawberry lift framed by a woody hint of cigar box. This wine is ripe, pure and concentrated, finishing with peppery spice and a nutmeg note. Delicious!
