Fitapreta, Tinto, Alentejano, Portugal, 2018

An enjoyable blend of Aragonez (40%), Trincadeira (30%) and Alicante Bouschet (30%). Bright and well-defined berry aromas: fruits of the forest, blackberry, raspberry and juicy cherry confit notes. The palate is soft and rounded but with good intensity of cherry and berry fruit. A sprinkle of spice from judicious oak ageing: half of the wine is matured in second and third use French oak for nine months.
