The poor granite and sand soils in this region of Portugal make the vines work extra hard, producing lower yields as a consequence that helps maintain a degree of concentration to the fruit. The aroma is reminiscent of fresh, ripe berries, while on the palate there is a fruit explosion of plum and black fruits. Fruity and moreish with a long finish, this offers excellent value.
