A blend of native Portuguese varieties Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Tinta Roriz and Jaen from granite soils, that spends nine months in French oak. Spice and pencil shavings overlay core aromas of black berries and black cherry on the nose. The palate shows deep, spicy, structured black fruit, which is still a little four-square at the moment, but should evolve with time in bottle.
