Mimo Moutinho, Touriga Nacional, Dão, Portugal 2021

Aldi's Mimo Moutinho label from Portugal is a perennial Decanter – and customer – favourite. This Touriga Nacional was released last year and is still drinking well, thanks to its racy acidity, inky mineral tang and flavours of liquorice and blackberries. Also released last year and still on shelves is the companion Dão white, a 2021 Encruzado (£7.49), which is equally good.
