Lua Cheia, Andreza Touriga Nacional-Touriga Franca, 2016

An approachable blend of Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca, grown on schist soils in Portugal's Douro Valley. Intense black and blue fruit aromas; defined black cherry with a violet edge. On the palate ripe blackberry and blueberry fruit is dusted with spice and supported by well-judged oak (one-third of the wine is aged in French barriques for a year) and medium tannins. Great food wine for meaty dishes.
