Quinta do Espinho, Grande Reserva, Douro Valley, 2015

An accomplished Douro blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz, aged for 12 months in new French oak. Intense, harmonious. perfumed aromatics: black berries and black cherry with top notes of violet. There's impressive depth of black fruit on the palate, interlaced with spice, savoury and chocolate hints, plus freshness and a sense of minerality. Fine tannins with a framework that will ensure further evolution as this ages in bottle.
