Tawny Port is a delicious style for drinking on its own, with cheese or dessert, or after a meal. The sweet spot for me are the 20 Year Olds, but if you're looking for an affordable introduction to the Tawny style, this 10 Year Old made for Tesco by the Symington family (who own brands including Dow, Graham's and Cockburn's) is a good choice, made in a lighter style. Swirl and sniff and you'll see why it's a popular match for Christmas cake - nuts, dried fruit, orange peel, caramel, it's all there. Good value. 110g/L residual sugar.
