This LBV is made for Tesco by Symington Family Estates, one of the key players in the region. LBV is a very popular style with people buying up Port for the festive season, as it is usually well priced and offers a 'baby' version of the full-blown vintage Port in a read-to-drink style, thanks in part to the additional time spent in oak - this example has spent six years in wood. It is super-sweet and plummy, with flavours of macerated black fruit and a good pinch of black pepper. Match this with a pungent cheese for a real treat.
